About Great Boulder Resources
GOLD AND NICKEL EXPLORATION IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA’S YILGARN PROVINCE
Great Boulder has consolidated a high-quality portfolio of exploration projects in the world-class Yilgarn Province of Western Australia. The Company is at the forefront of state-of-the-art geological and geophysical exploration techniques, applying these in the field to maximise capital efficiency and exploration success.
The company’s flagship project is the Mt Venn Ni-Cu-Co discovery located within the Yamarna Project, approximately 25km west of the Gruyere gold project. Extensive Ni-Cu-Co mineralisation has been outlined over several kilometres at the Mt Venn Complex and multiple, coincident Ni-Cu bedrock anomalism and late-time EM conductors have been identified at the Eastern Mafic Complex. Both prospects are interpreted to represent large-scale copper-nickel-cobalt magmatic systems. To the north of Yamarna respectively the Winchester project represents an exciting opportunity for further discoveries of magmatic-hosted copper-nickel sulphides. Winchester is an advanced project with previous drilling highlighting significant sulphide mineralisation, potentially offering an attractive blending source for material from Yamarna.
Closer to Kalgoorlie, Whiteheads Find is an advanced gold project with multiple high-grade intersections in historic drilling, as well as large-scale, coherent gold-in-soil anomalies that require drilling. The western side of Whiteheads is also prospective for komatiite-hosted nickel sulphides.
At Meekatharra, Side Well is another advanced gold project adjacent to the historic Paddy’s Flat field and south of Andy Well. At the Mulga Bill prospect at Side Well previous exploration has defined gold mineralisation over more than 3km of strike. This area will form the initial focus of work by GBR.
Yamarna – Mt Venn and Eastern Mafic Complex
The Yamarna project is located approximately 130 kilometres east of Laverton, and approximately 30 kilometres west of the Gruyere gold deposit in the Eastern Goldfields District of Western Australia.
Side Well Project
The Side Well gold project is located next to Meekatharra in Western Australia, adjacent to Westgold Resources’ Murchison Gold Operations and south of the Andy Well gold mine. This richly endowed area has produced nearly four million ounces of gold, with over 2.7 million ounces remaining in current resources.
The Winchester project is located 120km northeast of Laverton and 40km north of Mt Venn, situated over prospective mafic and ultramafic rocks of the Burtville Terrane.
Geologically the Whiteheads project straddles the terrane boundary between rocks of the Kalgoorlie Terrane to the west, and the Kurnalpi Terrane to the east.
